Ottica TV: History | Contact | Documents

Welcome to the new Ottica TV 2024 Channel

Ottica TV was set up in 2008 as a platform for international contemporary art based movie content. On Ottica are the kind of movies you might encounter on a visit to an art gallery, experimental narratives or simply an expression of visual 'joie de vivre'. In addition we are providing a platform for reportage, especially where artists themselves can provide a commentary on their own work and that of their colleagues.

The intention is to promote Ottica not just as an internet resource, but to engage in public events and interactions. This would typically take the form of sceenings, projections and location based events. The Channel content is provided by independent authors, with a diversity of qualification and experience, and aims to represent a range of international artists working in this field.

For those of you who have visited Ottica before there are several changes. The site is now coded in html5 and the movies are in mp4 format, embedded via Odysee. Content will be streamed at 720p resolution 'On Demand' and text associated with the movie will appear on the same player page. Initially the content will be divided between differing reportage.

Note: All copyright for the movies, photographs and textual material contained in this site are retained by the authors, unless otherwise stated. Contact links to the authors can be found with their content.
